Mitchell Santner became the seventh New Zealand wicket to fall, getting run out due to a brilliant piece of work in the deep by Virat Kohli. The captain sacrificed his wicket to ensure Bracewell remained on strike and give New Zealand the kind of finish the team wanted.

Jasprit Bumrah showed off his death-bowling skills by cleaning up the tail with his deadly yorkers as the Kiwis were reeling at 190/7. With his accurate bowling, New Zealand was dismissed for 227 in 48.2 overs, giving India a well-earned 51-run victory.
